Visiting Bled Castle
According to written sources it is the oldest castle in Slovenia, first mentioned in a 1011 donation deed as castellum Veldes. Bled castle towers 130m above the glacial lake attracts numbers visitors and rewords them with unforgettable views over Lake Bled and the wider area. In the castle you may visit the museum which portrays the ancient history of Bled, castle printing press, wiencellar, herbgallery and chapel.

The visitor who fills a bottle as a souvenir, corks it and waxes it, is presented with a certificate. The blend of colours, smells and tastes will bring you utmost delight and enjoyment. Wine is a tear of the earth, a gift from the sky and the sun, the juice of life. The cellar is well worth your visit.
Castle printing works: The castle printing works houses a reconstructed Gutenberg's wooden printing press which the master printer uses to demonstrate printing on hand-made paper with historical blocks and lead letters. If you wish to have a memorial certificate, turn into a castle master printer for several minutes and after some hard work you will learn to appreciate the “black” art.
